Where have I been?
My maiden voyage - The Southern Tier
My first bicycle trip in support of MS was in 2018. I rode from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL which took 53 days and covered 3,070 miles. Our team raised over $70k. An incredible experience....
Where am I going now? I am going to “Close the Loop"!
To continue my support of MS I am now going to bicycle around the other three sides of the USA to complete my goal of cycling around the perimeter of the entire United States.
How will I do this?
I will start where I ended in 2018 and finish where I started in 2018! I will be riding my bicycle from St. Augustine, FL up the Atlantic coast following the Atlantic Coast Route to Bar Harbor, ME then turning West following the Northern Tier Route to Seattle, WA then turning left to San Diego, CA. following the Pacific Coast Route for a total of 8,357 miles through 23 states. Combining this adventure with the Southern Tier trip that I did in 2018, will total 11,427miles, with a total of 392,065 feet of elevation gain while traversing 31 states and staying in 169 different cities.
fIRST sEGMENT - Atlantic Coast Route

This route is 2,210 miles and will go through 12 states and will find us staying overnight in 32 different cities. This segment has a total of 71,635 feet of elevation gain and will take 30 days.

sECOND sEGMENT - Northern Tier Route
Now that the first segment is done, check out the second segment. It is a long ride which goes across the Northern Tier from Bar Harbor, ME to Seattle, WA. This route is 4,295 miles and will go through 9 states and we will stay in 63 different cities. fINAL sEGMENT - Pacific Coast Route

This segment will take me me down the Pacific Coast from Seattle, WA to San Diego, CA. This route will cover 1,852 miles and will go through 2 states and will find me spending the night in 27 different cities. This beautiful, but difficult route will encompass 106,070 feet of elevation gain.
